Kristen Henson: Director, Government Relations & Public Affairs
Kristen Henson brings high levels of organization, project management, and communications experience as well as campaign and grassroots activism to her role at Hicks Partners. As the Director of Government Affairs and Public Relations, she helps create, implement and manage client communications, media, and advocacy strategies that expand the client’s brand, sustain their reputation, and accomplish their objectives.
Henson has been responsible for public outreach and stakeholder relations for a major energy company as well as managing a multi-state, cross functional government relations team for a bio-pharmaceutical company. She works closely with various stakeholder outreach, public relations and government affairs teams, local communities and trade organizations to promote client’s projects and priorities.
Henson started her professional career as a Legislative Aide in the Ohio House of Representatives where she gained firsthand knowledge of state government and worked to develop and implement community outreach initiatives. She was then recruited by a statewide trade association to be the Director of Member Relations tasked with advocating on behalf of the organization’s member companies and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office.
Throughout her career, she has volunteered her time on numerous local, legislative, and statewide campaigns. Henson has continued her dedication to community engagement, politics, and service and is a graduate of the 2015 Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute.
