She supports clients across multiple industries and sectors, including workforce and community/economic development, education, healthcare, social services, and the arts. Kimberly has successfully secured grants from agencies including DOJ, EDA, USDOL, USDOT, CDC, HHS, CA Dept of Education, CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and CA Community Colleges funding programs, among others.

Kimberly holds Bachelor of Arts degrees with high honors in English and in Communication Studies, with a Specialization in Labor and Workplace Studies, from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also earned a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
