Brittney Colvin is a seasoned public policy expert and executive leader with over 20 years of experience in state government, legislative affairs, and stakeholder engagement. She has served in key leadership roles, advising policymakers and overseeing strategic initiatives that impact Ohio’s natural resources, education, and legislative landscape.

Most recently, Brittney served as Chief of Staff for the Ohio House of Representatives, where she advised the Speaker and leadership team on policy implications, stakeholder feedback, and legislative strategy. She played a pivotal role in shaping policy initiatives, strengthening relationships with governmental and private sector leaders, and mentoring legislative staff.

Previously, she was Deputy Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, overseeing the Divisions of Oil and Gas Resources Management, Geological Survey, and Mineral Resources Management. In this role, she led policy development on energy issues, managed a $75 million budget, improved agency transparency, and represented ODNR on the Ohio Power Siting Board.

Her extensive career includes serving as Director of Policy & Legislative Affairs at the Ohio Department of Education, Director of Legislative Affairs at ODNR (2012–2016), and nearly a decade in the Ohio Senate as a policy advisor and legislative aide. She also led a successful state senate campaign in 2010, demonstrating her expertise in political strategy and communications.

Brittney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University and has completed the Harvard Business School’s Management Essentials Certification. She is actively involved in community service, including volunteering with Flying Horse Farms, Meals on Wheels, and breast cancer advocacy through Pink Ribbon Good.

A native of Montgomery County, Brittney is recognized for her skills in negotiation, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and strategic policy development, making her a trusted leader in Ohio’s public policy and government affairs landscape.
